Midwifery services at Neighborcare Health

Neighborcare Health’s certified nurse midwives care for pregnant women and their families to create a birth experience that safely aligns with what the woman wants and needs. Midwifery services are available at these clinics. Please contact a clinic to get started with care:

What is a Certified Nurse Midwife?

A Neighborcare Health Certified Nurse Midwife provides holistic pregnancy (prenatal) care, delivery and postpartum care after the birth of your baby. She is a nurse practitioner who has gone through advanced training to care for women across the life span, including pregnancy.

We strive to reduce Cesarean-section rates (C-sections), traumatic deliveries and unneeded medical intervention. We also connect patients with community resources, and help them understand their health care options.

Meet our Midwives

Where do patients have their babies?

Our patients choose to give birth at Swedish First Hill Birth Center (see a video tour through this link). The Birth Center offers patients supportive care in a comfortable environment—every room has a Jacuzzi tub, birthing ball, squatting bar and music system.

Learn more at an upcoming Midwifery Open House

Attend one of our quarterly open houses, meet the midwives and tour the Swedish First Hill Birth Center. Light snacks and beverages will be provided. Please let your midwifery team know if you have any questions or need an interpreter at the open house.

4:45 pm to 6:00 pm. Tour of the Swedish First Hill Birth Center begins at 6:15.
