Midwifery services at Neighborcare Health

Neighborcare Health’s certified nurse midwives care for pregnant women and their families to create a birth experience that safely aligns with what the pregnant patient wants and needs. Midwifery services are available at these clinics. Please contact a clinic to get started with care:

Where do patients have their babies?

Our patients choose to give birth at Swedish First Hill Birth Center (see a video tour through this link). The Birth Center offers patients supportive care in a comfortable environment—every room has a Jacuzzi tub, birthing ball, squatting bar and music system.

What is a Certified Nurse Midwife?

A Neighborcare Health certified nurse midwife provides holistic pregnancy (prenatal) care, delivery and postpartum care after the birth of your baby. They are nurse practitioners who have gone through advanced training to care for women across the life span, including pregnancy.

We strive to reduce Cesarean-section rates (C-sections), traumatic deliveries and unneeded medical intervention. We also connect patients with community resources, and help them understand their health care options.
