Cheri provided primary care to newly arrived immigrants at Harborview's International Medicine Clinic for 5 years before leaving to work at the Department of Public Health's STD clinic and Seattle University's Student Health Center. She began her nursing career focusing on infectious disease in Chicago at Cook County Hospital and The Core Center. She has volunteered at Chidamoyo Christian Hospital in Zimbabwe, Africa since 1996. Cheri enjoys ice hockey, rollerblading, playing the piano and reading.
