Stephen Supoyo, MD, FASAM
Physician, Substance Use Disorder Champion

Stephen spent two years as an AmeriCorps patient navigator for newly resettled refugees in Philadelphia, PA and men living in shelters in Brooklyn, NY, which taught him to always be aware of how complicated our health care system is, how hard it can be to go see the doctor and get good care. He also spent two years getting extra training in geriatrics and addiction, teaching him the value of supporting patients' autonomy, focusing on their strengths, and focusing on what matters most to them.
Why I Work at Neighborcare:
I chose to work at Neighborcare because I did a rotation with the organization when I was a resident trainee and I saw how caring and wonderful the people were. I decided I want to work with the best kind of people: passionate, hardworking, committed, authentic, supportive, and fun.
