Claire became a midwife after working for perinatal substance use disorder treatment programs where she witnessed firsthand how compassionate, community-based midwifery care can transform lives and improve health outcomes. Those experiences shaped her professional path and solidified her commitment to advancing reproductive justice for underserved communities. Originally from Arkansas, Claire is a lifelong Razorback sports fan. She also enjoys hiking and biking around the Pacific Northwest with her partner and their dog, Rue.
