Community Trauma Resources
Resources for patients, staff and communities of color.
After each mass shooting and each horrific act of racist violence, it's hard to say anything truly meaningful to the countless people in our community who are hurting and traumatized. Words alone cannot change what has happened.
We want to offer a list of resources that we hope can serve as a starting point for comfort and healing, knowing it's only a very small step on the very long journey toward a country that is just and safe for everyone.
- Racial trauma resources, including therapist directories for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ people, from Mental Health America
- Managing racial stress and teaching kids to do the same, from EmbraceRace
- What to do if you feel traumatized by the latest mass shooting, from Huff Post
We stand with our patients, staff and communities color and we will continue to offer- and fight for- equitable care and respect for all of our neighbors.
