Why I work at Neighborcare Health:
I am excited to join the team of providers within the school based health programs. As a graduate of a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program, I plan to help apply evidence-based clinical innovations such as those currently used in Neighborcare’s school-based health programs. My goal is to advance practice inquiry in order to apply the best clinical practices and provide the most safe and effective clinical care possible within our local communities.

For the past eight years Melissa has been a cancer care nurse. She has also studied nursing in Thailand, focused on the Southeast Asian community and mental health care practices. She recently completed a medical mission to Nigeria with a team of local health care providers, providing basic medical care as a pediatric nurse practitioner. Melissa’s family is from Taiwan but she was born and raised in the Seattle area. In her spare time she loves to travel, scuba dive, practice yoga, snowboard bike and run. She also enjoys art walks, musicals and local musical events.
