I work at Neighborcare Health because I believe that all people deserve to achieve their personal goals and potential. I feel grateful that i get to support students and families in that process.

Before Laura came to work at Neighborcare Health she worked in Portland, Oregon as a school-based mental health consultant. She has also worked at the Harborview Center for Sexual Assault and Traumatic Stress. In addition to providing care to patients, Laura also provides trauma-focused training to mental health care providers and others.

When Laura isn't working she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling and listening to music.

Why I work at Neighborcare Health: 
I work at Neighborcare because I believe in the mission to end disparities in access to health care. I am fortunate to work with and learn from youth and families from such a wide range of backgrounds.

Prior to joining Neighborcare Health, Rachel worked in a community mental health setting, providing care to children, adolescents, and adults. She has also facilitated Roots of Empathy, a program that teaches social and emotional skills to elementary school children. Rachel also worked as a faculty member at Seattle Central College. She specializes in child mental health and has additional training in infant mental health. Rachel is originally from Seattle and enjoys spending time with her extended family and friends. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog, reading and playing games.

Before Margo came to work at NeighborCare Health, she worked as mental health counselor in an outpatient clinic setting. There she provided high quality mental health care to youth and their families. Margo has also run outdoor programming for at-risk youth, those with Autism and ADHD. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing techniques. Margo is originally from Seattle and in her free time enjoys making large meals to share with family and friends, hiking and skiing.

Before Joining Neighborcare Health, Lindsey worked as a mental health therapist in Arizona. She has previously worked in a variety of treatment setings including community mental health, residential treatment, schools, and private practice. Lindsey is originally from Tempe, Arizona and moved with her family to Seattle in 2016. In her spare time she enjoys reading, playing board games with friends, building Legos with her two children and hiking the beautiful trails around Washington.

along with her position at Neighborcare Health, Doreen has her own private practice where she counsels teens, adults and families. She is trained in a variety of counseling techniques including DBT, CBT, TF-CBT, and existential psychology. Doreen was born and raised in the mountains of Eastern Washington. Before she went back to school to become a psychologist, Doreen worked building theater sets for 12 years.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to work at Neighborcare Health within the Seattle schools. I’ve always aimed to help children work on “big thoughts, feelings and behaviors” so they can become the best students, and people, they can be.

Before joining NeighborCare Health, Kristin worked as a school social worker in St. Louis, Missouri.  In 2013 Kristen and her family moved to Seattle from Missouri. She spends her spare time shuttling her two daughters to various activities, getting together with friends, walking her dog and singing in her church’s choir.
