Samuel had the opportunity to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Neighborcare Health after graduating from dental school. Since completing his residency he has become a dentist at Neighborcare Health. Samuel was born in Taiwan, went to high school in Canada and came to the U.S. for college and dental school. In his free time, Samuel likes to play tennis, the piano and drums.

Why I work at Neighborcare Health: 
It has been my goal to find a practice that seeks to provide compassionate, evidence based medical care for the underserved in a diverse community. Neighborcare Health has a mission and value system that is consistent with this and it is a privilege for me to be able to work side by side with individuals who share this common goal.

Randy was born and raised in the Seattle area and his parents were small business owners in the International District for most of their career. Before joining Neighborcare Health, Randy completed a family medicine residency in Yakima. He has also worked in counseling, social work and as a personal trainer. In his leisure time he enjoys spending time with his wife, being involved in his local church and playing basketball.

Why I work at Neighborcare Health: 
I am excited to join the team of providers within the school based health programs. As a graduate of a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program, I plan to help apply evidence-based clinical innovations such as those currently used in Neighborcare’s school-based health programs. My goal is to advance practice inquiry in order to apply the best clinical practices and provide the most safe and effective clinical care possible within our local communities.

For the past eight years Melissa has been a cancer care nurse. She has also studied nursing in Thailand, focused on the Southeast Asian community and mental health care practices. She recently completed a medical mission to Nigeria with a team of local health care providers, providing basic medical care as a pediatric nurse practitioner. Melissa’s family is from Taiwan but she was born and raised in the Seattle area. In her spare time she loves to travel, scuba dive, practice yoga, snowboard bike and run. She also enjoys art walks, musicals and local musical events.
